March is here, and with the upcoming arrival of spring, there is lots happening in the community! If you are anxious to get out in warmer weather this weekend, here are some events you may want to check out:
Michigan Golf Show

Weekend Walk for Birds at Barton Nature Area

Learn about these mysterious neighbors with a presentation starring the Center’s very own owl ambassadors, then go on an adventure to call for wild owls on the beautiful, snowy trails! Enjoy cookies & cocoa. Recommended for ages 5+. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Pre Ides of March Day of Fun at Proud Lake Recreational Area
Saturday, March 7th, 12 pm – 10 pm at Proud Lake State Recreational Area – 2700 Glengary Rd, Commerce Charter Twp, MI
The River Hawk Annex at Proud Lake Recreation Area will be the place to be on Saturday, March 7th. Hike the trails during the day and in the evening. If the weather permits, snow shoes and canoes/kayaks can be rented. You can come inside the Annex to warm up. Bring your favorite card and board games. Bring food for an evening potluck. Invite a friend, kid friendly, a flashlight or head lamp is suggested for evening hiking. Admission: voluntary donations ($3 suggested).
