On December 27, 2018 a brand-new coffeehouse opened it’s doors in downtown Brighton. Located on the Mill Pond, Brighton Coffeehouse and Theater provides much more than a hot cup of Joe. The cafe also serves soups, salads, sandwiches, baked goods, and even live entertainment! Owned and operated by the Goller family of Brighton, the coffeehouse includes a part-time performing arts theater space where theater productions, choir performances, dance parties, performances by live musicians, book signings, and all sorts of fun entertainment are being planned and happening! The movable stage and baby grand piano add to the rustic charm of the fully renovated building. There is even an area where customers can learn about different coffee brewing methods.
The two-story, approximately 4,900-square-foot Brighton Coffeehouse and Theater features seating for about 70 customers and is located at 306 Main Street. Outdoor patio seating is planned to be available in the spring, where customers can enjoy the views of the Mill Pond and amphitheater. Opening at 6:30 am during the week, the coffeehouse is a great place for commuters to stop by, grab some fresh-brewed coffee and a made-to-order sandwich to go for lunch, before heading to work.
