Local Farmers’ Markets

There is nothing like fresh, in-season, locally grown produce during the spring and summer months!  Now that spring has arrived, you can stock up every weekend at your local Farmer’s Market!  Not only will you enjoy the products, but you will be supporting your local farmers, crafters, and other vendors!


The Howell Farmers Market is the largest in Livingston County.  It is open every Sunday, May through October, from 9 am – 2 pm and is located adjacent to the County Courthouse.  Here you will find not only delicious fruits and veggies, but also flowers, hanging baskets, herbs, local meats, cheeses, baked goods, salsas, local honey, garden gifts, and much more!

The Brighton Farmers Market is celebrating it’s 42nd anniversary this season!  This market takes place on Saturday mornings from 8 am – 1 pm and opened on May 4th.  It is located off Main Street between Mill Pond Land and Cedar Street.  Stop by for some Michigan-made products (soaps, lotions, jewelry, hand-sewn, knit, and crochet items) and Michigan-grown goods (fruits, veggies, eggs, fresh caught fish, etc).  Food concessions available.

The Northville Farmers Market is also in full swing, taking place every Thursday from May through October.  It is located in the Northville Downs parking lot on Seven Mile and Sheldon.

Royal Oak Farmers Market: Open Fridays, May through Thanksgiving, from 7 am – 1 pm, Saturdays, year round, from 7 am – 1 pm, offering seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh eggs, local honey, crafts, organic teas, and more.  The market features antiques and collectibles on Sundays from 8 am- 3 pm.

Farmington Farmers Market:  Opening it’s 26th season this Saturday, May 18th, the Farmington Farmer’s Market is another market that is sure to have something for everyone!  Located at The Walter E. Sundquist Pavilion in George F. Riley Park , it is open Saturdays from 9 am- 2 pm, May 18-Oct. 26th
