Kroger Co. wrapped up it’s $15.4 million expansion of its Brighton store earlier this month. The store was under construction for about a year, but was able to stay open during the expansion process. Kroger was able to add over 40,000-square feet to the store by taking over retail spaces to the west side of the store that had been vacated in 2016.
New additions to the store include a brand new Starbucks with a seating area, made-to-order Mexican food, Pizza Romana pizzas, The Chicken Co. hand-breaded chicken and a la carte choices, and a Murray’s Cheese Shop selling a variety of specialty cheeses and other foods. They have a large variety of wine and are now also selling liquor. The wide aisles make perusing the selections an enjoyable process! There are many new products that Kroger is now able to offer due to the increased space, including a Kosher section as well as a small European section. The deli is also larger, and there is now a drive-up window for the Pharmacy.
The store has added 60 new employees, and is still actively hiring.
